STA/Overnights

Bloom provides Short Term Accommodation (STA) to support participants in building daily life skills, maintaining informal supports and strengthening community involvement. In addition to 1:1 short term accommodation, we schedule group overnights where participants who have become friends come together to experience a sleepover with support from Bloom staff. The purpose is to build and maintain friendships, develop life skills, access the community and give carers a break from their caring role.

Each stay is tailored to the individual, with personalised schedules designed to build skills such as budgeting, planning, meal preparation and community participation. Our support is always person centred, ensuring each participant’s preferences, needs and goals are at are supported throughout their stay.

Overnight support is offered at our comfortable Blakeview Hub. If this location isn’t suitable, alternative arrangements can be made at no cost to the family.

Group overnights usually run during school holidays and are charged at a lower rate due to the group setting, when appropriate. Participants have the opportunity to build independence, enjoy social time with peers and take part in shared activities that promote confidence and connection.

All stays are supported by our experienced and friendly staff, who create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment. Whether it’s a short overnight break or a longer stay, we work closely with participants, families and support coordinators to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
